Threaded inserts – also known as press-fit or insert nuts – create resilient internal threads in sheet metal, plastics, or wood. They are cold pressed into a prepared mounting hole and ensure a secure, wear-free connection without thread cutting. OEB supplies threaded inserts according to DIN 98101 or customer-specific drawings – for thermoplastics, thermosets, wood, or metallic components.

Threaded inserts individually tailored to your requirements
Do you need a threaded insert that perfectly matches your component, material, or assembly process? OEB develops and manufactures threaded inserts according to drawings or samples – with precisely defined threads, head and shaft geometries, and individual tolerances. We also reliably implement inch threads or hybrid solutions. Typical individualizations:
- Dimensions and tolerances as specified
- Metric or inch threads (e.g. M2–M20, 1/4 inch etc.)
- Material selection depending on medium and load (brass, stainless steel, steel)

OEB supplies threaded inserts made of brass, stainless steel, or steel for a wide variety of applications. Standard with metric ISO thread (M2–M20) or inch versions (BA, UNC, UNF, BSP, BSPT, 1/8″ to 1″). We can customize the dimensions, thread types, and surfaces on request. Machining post-processing is also possible. The press-fitting is form-fitting – a serrated ring prevents twisting in the component. Documentations such as EMPB, VDA, or PPAP are optionally available.
