Press-in fasteners for accurately positioned, separable connections

Press-in fasteners or press-in parts serve to fit sheet metal parts with separable fastening elements. They are inserted in a locating hole in the workpiece, e.g. a punched hole in the sheet that is slightly smaller. The press-in fastener displaces some material when inserted which flows into a groove in the shank area of the fastener during this cold forming.

A sprocket on the head or the hexagonal shape of the head prevent the press-in fastener from twisting in the part. No damage or bulging occurs on the rear of the part.

Press-in fasteners are also highly stressable in thin sheets from 0.5 mm and very accurately positionable. No thread cutting in the part is necessary.

  • Press-in nuts (threaded inserts)
  • Press-in bolts
  • Press-in threaded bolts
  • Press-in screws
  • Other press-in fasteners

Press-in fasteners are produced by cold forming without cutting. Depending on the raw-material, heat treatment is applied for tempering or surface finishing to improve corrosion protection.

  • Heavily stressable even in thin sheets from 0.5 mm
  • Very accurate positioning
  • No recutting of the thread
  • No special machining of the bore hole
  • Special sizes and shapes according to drawing or sample – all from us.
