Specially formed screws and similar based on blanks manufactured as cold extrusion parts
Recutting of screws and other connecting elements
By cutting cold extrusion parts, especially screws, we produce smaller quantities of specially formed parts, for example with machine fits, grooves, reduced necks, tapers and other special contours.
On screws for very narrow tolerances, we remove a thin layer of the surface.
Reduced shank screws are also usually produced by recutting of blanks on which the thread is longer.
During the recutting, material is removed deliberately from a blank produced on cold extruders to alter the detail of the form. In this way, low-cost special parts can be manufactured in small batch sizes based on blanks which are produced in large batch sizes as cold extrusion parts.
- For example, screws with grooves, reduced necks, tapers, incisions
- Screws with very narrow tolerances
- Reduced shank screws
The blanks are manufactured in double-stroke technique or multi-stage technique on cold forming presses. Then the blanks are machined with cutting tools.
Low-cost production of special parts in smaller batch sizes by a combination of blanks manufactured in large batch sizes as cold extrusion parts with cutting tools for the respective final form in small batch sizes.
