Thin shank screws according to DIN 7964 for positive connections
Thin shank screws are the first choice when a secure, positive connection with high clamping force is required. Due to their reduced shank diameter, they enable optimum frictional engagement and prevent settling of components – especially with soft materials or with loaded multi-layer connections. OEB manufactures thin shank screws in various geometries, lengths and drive types – exactly according to your application. Whether in the automotive industry, precision mechanics or in specialized assembly processes: Our screw solutions connect reliably – with minimal material usage and maximum functionality.
Your Benefits at a Glance
Higher clamping force with small diameter
Reduced settling behavior of the connection
Ideal for multi-layer components
Weight saving through material reduction
Positive connection with long-term stability
Target groups & areas of application
Thin shank screws from OEB are used wherever positive connections are required for settling-sensitive or multi-layer components. Thanks to their special shank geometry and individually adaptable specifications, they are ideally suited for components with limited installation space or changing loads. Our solutions have proven themselves in demanding assembly and series processes and are an integral part of durable connection technology in numerous industries.

Exemplary applications of thin shank screws
Thin shank screws are ideal for applications in which components must be permanently connected with high clamping force – especially for multi-layer materials, thin sheets or settling-sensitive materials. The reduced shank creates an elastic clamping area that minimizes preload losses and reduces settling of the connection. Thin shank screws are therefore used wherever technical safety, space optimization and material efficiency are required.
