Threaded inserts (also called press-in nuts or press nuts) are inserted into a locating hole in the part, e.g. a punched hole in the sheet.
Threaded inserts create precision threads in the part
Threaded inserts (also called press-in nuts or press nuts) are inserted into a locating hole in the part, e.g. a punched hole in the sheet that is slightly smaller. The press-in nut displaces some material when inserted which flows into a groove in the shank area of the nut during this cold forming. A sprocket prevents the insert from twisting in the part. No damage or bulging occurs on the rear of the part.
Our press-in nuts are also highly stressable and very accurately positionable in thin sheets from 0.5 mm. No thread cutting in the part is necessary.
- DIN 98101: Press-in nuts (press nuts)
Threaded inserts are primarily turned.
Threaded inserts create a high-strength thread in plastic and wood and
– are wear-free and corrosion-resistant
– enable frequent tightening and loosening of the screw connection
– are flexibly usable
– offer different assembly possibilities
Special sizes and shapes according to drawing or sample – all from us.
Threaded inserts for plastic (plastic inserts): For the plastic moulding industry (thermoplastics and duroplastics), brass inserts for e.g. ABS, polycarbonate, UPVC, CPVC, Bakelite, HDPE, PP, acrylic etc.
