Weld screws and weld bolts

Weld screws and weld bolts are welded firmly to existing parts. The advantage: The screw or bolt does not need to be held when fastening other parts later. They can be used in places with difficult access, for example in body manufacture in the automotive industry.

Weld bolts are welded tight with the arc. There is a small tip on the underside of the bolt for tip ignition bolt welding. Here, the arc ignites when the bolt is moved towards the part and melts the underside briefly. This takes place very quickly and is suitable for thinner sheets from 0.6 mm and small weld bolts from M3 to M8. In drawn arc bolt welding, the part and the bolt initially form an electric circuit. The arc occurs as soon as the bolt is lifted off the part.

Weld screws have so-called welding humps or welding points on the underside of the head. They are pushed through a punched hole and then welded firmly to the part by the welding humps. They are used where high breaking torques are required.

Weld screws and weld bolts are manufactured in double-stroke technique on cold forming presses.

Weld screws and weld bolts are welded firmly to the part by the arc. They do not need to be held when fastening later.

Suitable for fastenings to places with difficult access and for high breaking torques.
